How to Use Your Tichka Oil — A Complete Guide

Just received your first Tichka oil? This guide covers everything you need to know — how to use each product correctly, what to expect in the first few weeks, and which oils work best together.

Tichka oils are pure and concentrated. A little goes a long way, and using them correctly makes a significant difference to the results you'll see.

Moroccan Argan Oil

How to use it

Warm 3–4 drops between your palms and press gently into cleansed skin. Use morning or evening — or both. It absorbs quickly and leaves no greasy residue. For hair, apply a small amount to damp ends as a finishing oil or work through dry hair before washing as a pre-treatment. This is our cosmetic-grade oil — for the full picture on how it's sourced and why it's different, see our complete Argan Oil guide.

What to expect

In the first week you'll notice improved hydration and a healthy glow. After 2–3 weeks of consistent use, most people see a visible improvement in skin texture and softness.

Pair it with

Rose Water — spritz onto cleansed skin before applying Argan Oil. The moisture helps the oil absorb more effectively and the combination leaves skin feeling exceptionally soft.

Prickly Pear Seed Oil

How to use it

Use 2–3 drops at night after cleansing. Warm between your fingertips and press gently into skin — do not rub. Allow to absorb fully before sleeping. This oil is exceptionally concentrated so less is always more, and is ideal for facial use in particular — see our full benefits guide for more on why it works so well on the face.

What to expect

After 2 weeks you should notice improved skin elasticity and a more even tone. After 4–6 weeks, fine lines appear softer and skin looks more luminous. This oil works gradually and deeply — consistency is key.

Pair it with

Use Moroccan Argan Oil in the morning and Prickly Pear at night for a complete day and night ritual. The two complement each other exceptionally well — see our full Argan Oil vs Prickly Pear Seed Oil comparison.

Black Seed Oil

How to use it

Apply 3–4 drops to cleansed skin, focusing on problem areas or all over the face. Can be used morning or evening. If you find it too potent initially, mix a few drops into your regular moisturiser to ease in gently. If you're dealing with eczema, acne or scalp concerns specifically, see our full Black Seed Oil for Eczema, Acne and Scalp Health guide for condition-specific application tips.

What to expect

In the first 1–2 weeks you may notice some initial purging if your skin is particularly reactive — this is normal and settles quickly. After 3–4 weeks most people see a significant reduction in redness, clearer skin and a stronger skin barrier.

Pair it with

Rose Water — use as a calming toner before applying Black Seed Oil to enhance absorption and soothe the skin.

Hemp Seed Oil

How to use it

Apply 3–4 drops to cleansed skin morning or evening. Hemp Seed Oil is exceptionally lightweight and absorbs quickly — ideal as a daily moisturiser for oily or combination skin. Can also be worked through damp hair to control frizz and improve scalp health — see our full Hemp Seed Oil guide for the complete breakdown of benefits for skin and hair.

What to expect

After 1–2 weeks you should notice improved skin balance and reduced oiliness. After a month, skin feels consistently more hydrated without feeling heavy. Hemp Seed Oil is non-comedogenic so it won't clog pores.

Pair it with

Rose Water and Hemp Seed Oil make an excellent lightweight daily ritual — perfect for skin that needs hydration without heaviness.

Rose Water

How to use it

Spritz directly onto cleansed skin as a toner before applying your moisturiser or facial oil. Can also be used throughout the day as a refreshing mist, or spritzed onto a cotton pad and swept across the face. Ideal for setting makeup or cooling the skin in warm weather. Curious whether rose water really counts as a toner, and why? See our full guide: The Best Natural Toner in Ireland.

What to expect

Rose Water is immediately soothing and refreshing. Over time it helps balance skin tone, reduce redness and leave skin with a natural, healthy glow. It transforms how your other skincare absorbs.

Pair it with

Moroccan Argan Oil — apply Rose Water first, then while skin is still slightly damp, press in 3–4 drops of Argan Oil. The results are noticeably better than using either alone. See more on this pairing in Should You Apply Argan Oil to Damp Skin?.

Sesame Oil

How to use it

For the body, apply a generous amount to damp skin after showering and massage in circular motions. As a facial oil, use 3–4 drops on cleansed skin. For hair, warm a small amount between palms and work through mid-lengths and ends before washing as a pre-wash treatment.

What to expect

Your skin will feel noticeably softer and more supple within days. Sesame Oil has natural antioxidant properties that protect the skin and a gentle warming quality that makes it ideal for massage and colder months.

Pair it with

Sesame Oil makes an outstanding body massage oil. Add a few drops of one of our Diffuser Oils to create your own scented body oil — Musk Oud or Harmony work particularly well.

Cyperus Rotundus Oil

How to use it

Apply a small amount to recently waxed, threaded or shaved areas immediately after hair removal. Massage gently into the skin in circular motions. Use consistently after every session for best results. Can also be used daily on areas prone to ingrown hairs.

What to expect

With consistent use over 4–6 weeks most people notice that hair grows back finer and more slowly. It also helps calm redness and reduce the appearance of ingrown hairs.

Pair it with

Rose Water — apply as a soothing mist immediately after hair removal before applying Cyperus Rotundus Oil to calm the skin and enhance absorption.
